About Us
The Challenge is taking place to encourage people to try cycling or to cycle more often. The Wight Wheels Cycle Challenge is run by the Department of Health South East with funding from Cycling England, Isle of Wight Council and Isle of Wight NHS Primary Care Trust, and delivered in partnership with CTC and Challenge for Change.
Challenge for Change is a social marketing agency that specialises in the development of behaviour change programmes that get more people cycling. The CTC is the UK's national cyclists organisation. They are committed to a vibrant and broad base of cyclists from all sectors of the community and aim to make cycling accessible, safe and enjoyable.
The Challenge aims to encourage more people to start cycling by getting them to actually experience what it is like to ride a bike. Giving people a fun, positive cycling experience is a great way to show people that cycling is actually quite fun and easy. This is a good first step to then encourage people to cycle more often.
For more information on the Challenge, please see the Learn More or Terms and Conditions page or feel free to contact us.
